Opening later this evening (Thursday, September 30th) at Gallery 1988‘s Los Angeles location is a dual showing by two painters, namely Ben Strawn and Roland Tamayo. Though it’s the first time these two artists have shown together in a joint venture, their seamless fusing of nature and animals in whimsical and magical settings seems to make them a perfect pairing. Strawn’s paintings on glass housed within handmade shadow boxes definitely make him a new force to be reckoned with, while Tamayo’s iconic imagery now tackles his new status as a father of twins and full time painter.
